Almost every person gets a sore throat at 1 time or another. Young children are likely to have them far more usually than adolescents or adults. Sore throats are most popular throughout the winter months when upper respiratory infections (colds) are far more frequent. Sore throat (pharyngitis) is typically a painful inflammation on the pharynx, which is the aspect from the throat that lies involving the mouth along with the larynx (voice box). Sore throat is frequently a symptom of a variety of illnesses just like colds and flu, glandular fever, respiratory tract infections, tonsillitis, and chickenpox. Although most sore throats heal without complications, in some cases, they develop into a severe illness.
